Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GRIP ELECTRIC LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"), trading as quickbooksexpert at https://quickbooksexpert.shop, collects, uses, and protects your personal information. We are a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16816859) with our registered office at Top Flat, 121 London Road North, Merstham, Redhill, England, RH1 3AL. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Our store serves customers in the United States, and this policy is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation as well as applicable US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Information we collect
- Order information: your name, email address, billing details, and the products you purchase, collected when you place an order.
- Payment information: payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your full card number or PayPal password; we receive only confirmation of payment and limited transaction details.
- Support correspondence: messages you send us by email or phone, so we can help you and keep a record of the resolution.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar data collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies when you browse the site (see Section 6).
- Marketing preferences: your email address if you choose to join our mailing list.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and our products are intended for purchase by adults.
2. How we use your information
- To process orders and deliver your digital download links by email (performance of a contract).
- To provide customer support, process refunds, and handle complaints (performance of a contract / legitimate interests).
- To send marketing emails only if you have opted in; every email includes an unsubscribe link (consent).
- To keep our store secure, prevent fraud, and comply with legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation / legitimate interests).
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it (legitimate interests / consent for non-essential cookies).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Who we share data with
- Shopify Inc. — hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf.
- PayPal — processes payments under its own privacy policy.
- Email delivery providers — used to send order confirmations and download links.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, for example for tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
These providers act under contracts that restrict how they may use your data. Because we are based in the United Kingdom and you may be in the United States, your data may be transferred internationally; where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide ongoing access to your downloads and to meet UK tax and accounting requirements (generally six years), after which data is deleted or anonymised. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for up to two years after the issue is closed.
5. Your privacy rights
All customers
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email info@quickbooksexpert.shop. We will respond within the timescales required by law and will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising your rights.
California and other US state residents
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You may submit requests, including via an authorised agent, using the contact details below, and you have the right not to be discriminated against for doing so.
UK and EU visitors
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data — though we would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern with you first.
6. Cookies
Our Shopify store uses essential cookies to run the cart and checkout, and may use analytics cookies to help us understand site performance. Essential cookies cannot be switched off because the store will not function without them; you can control other cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent checkout from working.
7. Security
Our store runs on Shopify's PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure and all pages are served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment details are handled entirely by PayPal. While no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any data breach where the law requires it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
